Despite a good education, despite loving parents, and many mentors, I never was taught the value of inner reflection. I discovered it all quite by accident after I retired and had time to think. I'm so sorry no one told me about it earlier. The only self-discovery emphasised by those around me was debris in my ears, smudges on my face, or dirt under my nails.
I also have to tell you that all ego, vanity, and self-interest was flattened by one exceptional thought in this blog. "Our lives seem to be donations from a creative power." For that, expressed in that way, I am so grateful.
